Health Data & Permissions

Permission summary

Dhruva may offer optional connections to health and fitness services provided by your device or operating system. Dhruva requests access only when you choose to use a feature that needs it, and the system permission screen identifies the specific data categories requested by your version of the app.

Dhruva does not require access to every category in your device health service. You may decline a request or allow only the categories offered by your device. Features that depend on information you do not permit may be unavailable or incomplete, but you can continue using features that do not require that information.

Health and fitness data access

When enabled, Dhruva accesses only the health or fitness records shown in the device permission prompt and made available by you. We use permitted records to support workout tracking, synchronize relevant fitness activity, maintain workout history, compare performance, and provide progress information requested by you.

The exact categories available can differ by platform, device, app version, and feature. Before granting access, review the Apple Health, Health Connect, or other device permission screen for the complete category-level list applicable to your device.

How we do not use health data

Health and fitness data obtained through device permissions is not used for advertising.

• We do not sell health or fitness data
• We do not provide health or fitness data to data brokers
• We do not use health or fitness data for targeted or personalized advertising
• We do not use health or fitness data to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar services

Your permission controls

You can review, grant, limit, or revoke Dhruva’s access through your device’s health, privacy, or application settings. Revoking access stops future collection from the connected device service but does not automatically delete information already synchronized to your Dhruva account.

You can remove synchronized information using available app controls or delete your Dhruva account. Account-deletion instructions are available at /delete-account. You may also contact info@dhruvafit.com for assistance.

Storage, sharing, and retention

Permitted health and fitness information may be stored with your Dhruva account so that workout history, comparisons, synchronization, and progress features remain available. We use service providers only as needed to operate, secure, and support Dhruva under appropriate contractual and security obligations.

Retention and deletion are governed by our Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, associated synchronized health and fitness information is removed or de-identified from active systems, subject to protected backup periods and retention required by law.

Dhruva is a fitness-information and workout-recording tool, not a medical device, healthcare provider, or emergency service. Its records, comparisons, targets, and insights are not medical advice and may not be suitable for every person.
